Glossary

Over the years, many terms have taken root in the tongues of the Siflige members. In order to understand the Sifligeans better, one could use this handy glossary.

ADM:

DM:

Dungeon Masters, the invisible entities who visit Siflige to spark events and award "Tizlik Points".

Faerie/Fairy:

A mock name often used to insult an elf or any effeminate male. However, those rarely take offense at it.

Flag Shoppe, the:

An old urban legend tells of the Flag Shop in Lucinia, where inhabitants who dare brave the werebeasts and undead may purchase some of the precious Pocket Items.

HiPS:

Hide in Plain Sight. One of the infamous exploits favored by cheap PvP monkeys and munchkins alike. HiPS allows the user to hide in plain sight, thus providing an easy escape from hopeless duels. Hostility

Anything involving politics or religion.

Metagamer:

One who roleplays his character using knowledge granted by the game interface. An example of metagaming is knowing the name of a character you've never met before.

MiRL:

Man in Real Life. Used to point out a female character who is played by a male user.

Munchkin:

Munchkins are duel (PvP) oriented players, that put together ridicolous class combinations, to achieve better stats. RP justifications for their characters are often farfetched and most likely fail.

O

OOC: Out of character. Used by roleplayers to signify text said out of the roleplaying setting. Often signified by double parentheses, or double brackets.

Randomer:

One who randomly attacks other players, or 'randoms'. Randoming without consent of the victim is a criminal offense.
